I got to meet the guys who started making these and it reminds me of the original "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" stickers. It'll be interesting to see where all of this goes.
The leash definitely ruined surfing. Uncle Val Ching told me "Leashes make people spoiled". This is coming from a dude that surfed Makaha at like 15 feet on a paipo....Theres alot to be said about that.
Lets not forget about stand up paddle boarders...they are quickly ruining surfing spots everywhere with the spoiled brat mentality of "me first" on thier Chinese made Surf Tech pieces of crap.
probably the wetsuit ruined it more. Hard to say. The crowds were coming anyway and I'm glad more people's boards aren't hurtling towards me in the lineup.
Agree 1000% with Daniel - those Janitors need to be stopped.

Is Val related to Jeff Chamberlain? Portly fella, grey hair and a passion for boat surfing? He is a paipo-bellyboard maestro magnifigant!!!!
a couple days back at malibu, as i crawled slowly across 50 yards of sharp slippery urchin encrusted rock reef covered with a foot of surging water vainly trying to get my hands on my precious mandala, i found the experience so precious i vowed then and there never to replace my broken leash.
the leash ruined ding repair
ReplyDeleteI like dogs that don't need leashes, men that don't need leashes, but I definitely don't like leeches.
